Bad Blogger

Okay I admit, I'm a bad blogger...hehe. I need to start doing it more often because I also intended to use this blog for my own personal use (hope you don't mind). I've gotten SO behind on keeping up with my littles I have ALOT to catch up on and I also have a new session to blog...keep posted on that. But for now, here's my little brood and what we've been up to.


For Halloween this year, Audrey was a little bumblebee...and a cute one at that! Ms. McKinley chose a kitty costume that she looked SUPER adorable in. I was very sad I had to work this year and didn't get to take them trick or treating but their amazing daddy took right over and made sure they had a fab time! Thanks daddy :)

That is my favorite series of black and white images I have ever taken. I feel like they really elate my girls' amazing personalities. Audrey is a total goof, but also the biggest sweetheart ever. And McKinley has the mischievous but I'm so sweet look.

I really hate getting behind the camera it makes me so uncomfortable. But that's why I love doing a P52, it gets me out and shooting new things.

This is me, no props, no skin fixes no makeup. Just me. Mother, wife, aspirating photographer. I love everything creative. My whole life I've searched for ways to express my creativity. Took me 21 years but I did it and god am I glad I did. Photography has given me so much more than just pretty pictures. It's allowed me to see the world and people in a totally different way. I'm not perfect, I make mistakes, sometimes I act just as childish as my children. I am so clumsy I lose things ALOT, I break things ALOT. But I wouldn't change anything because I know who I am, who I hope to be and how to be happy in life and that's half the battle, right?

My sister has been visiting us for a month now, she goes home tomorrow. (Sad face) It's been so awesome having her here. I tried to resist torturing her with the camera all month. And I'm glad I did. The shots I got were well worth it. Here are some from our sundown session and a few from our trip to Sonic.

Quick Update

Hello friends! I've been taking a short photography break here the last couple of weeks. It's necessary sometimes to keep from burning myself out. I still try to take some pictures of my kids everyday. We did our first boutique modeling this past week for O So Darling. Danielle is a doll to work with and her creations are so adorable. McKinley modeled a skirt called the Secret Garden Skirt which she also has a full length dress of which is SO cute! I love the fabric and the sash was so perfect to go with it. This little girl is SO cute, she made me smile the whole session. I LOVE doing babies I wish I could only do them. They're so adorable and most of the time just curious enough to look at the camera. I feel funny during these sessions because I'm making a ton of weird noises. I swear strangers think I'm a freak but the babies love it.
